Gerard W. "Jerry" Jean, 85, a longtime resident of Hudson, NH and formerly of Dracut, MA died Thursday February 9, 2012 following a period of declining health. He was the husband of the late Annette "Mae" (Beaulieu) Jean.
Born in Lawrence on November 28, 1926, he was a son of the late Arthur J. and Rose A. (Barnaby) Jean.
Mr. Jean served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. For many years, Jerry was employed by Hanscom Air Force Base until his retirement. He held membership in The Lodge of Elks, BPOE #65 of Lawrence, American Legion Post #48 and VFW Post #5791 both of Hudson, NH.
Survivors include four children, Linda M. Lambert and her husband, Jeffrey of Dracut, Robert P. Jean and his wife, Trish of Arizona, Diane M. Jean of Dracut, and Kevin T. Jean and his wife, Diane E. of Pelham; five grandchildren, Ryan and Kylee Lambert, Stephen, Kimberly and Allison Jean; and a sister-in-law and best friend, Rita Jean of Hudson, NH. He was the brother of the late Rene, Robert, Paul, Irene, Evelyn and Anita.
